3 billion of people who connect every day to the Internet, absorbed for hours and hours from the virtual world.
But the most important thing is the fact that most of these people spend their time on social networks.
And, actually, I’m part of this category too.

What’s a social network?

The meaning, as mentioned on Wikipedia, is:

A social network is a social structure made up of a set of social actors (such as individuals or organizations), sets of dyadic ties, and other social interactions between actors. The social network perspective provides a set of methods for analyzing the structure of whole social entities as well as a variety of theories explaining the patterns observed in these structures.[1] The study of these structures uses social network analysis to identify local and global patterns, locate influential entities, and examine network dynamics.

Who uses social networks?

Adults and teenagers, anyone looking for entertainment outside of the physical reality.
And, in fact, it is the social network the favorite place to hangout for recreation.

A really upsetting trend, under certain points of view, which leads to a loss of contact with the reality.

But social networks are also the new channel for communication and marketing.
This is why an increasing number of companies open their own page or profile to communicate with their potential customers.

Some names of Social Networks

Facebook, Youtube,Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Linkedin, Tublr. And then, WhatsApp, Google+, Flikr…
The
list is still very long, impossible to be mentiond in full. Wikipedia writes about 206, a truly incredible number!

I must say that, among all those existing, there are obviously more known and others almost unknown.
Among the mains, there are definitely Facebook and Youtube.

Come on, raise your hand if you don’t know them… nobody!

Facebook, alone, has 1.65 billion of users in 2017. A number that is progressively growing.

In short, we can  say that the virtual world of meetings and exchanges is replacing the real world. But the most significant trend is that the marketing is increasingly oriented to this communicative solution.
