Travelling by car

When travelling by car…

One of the most common means of transport is definitely the car.
Although the offer at our disposal is very wide.

But this is what: Italians prefer the car.
As proof of this, just think of the exodus and against the exodus due to the summer holidays in August.

So we choose the car, but not because it is the safest means of transport, indeed. There are several risks that traveling by car involves, and it is not simply a matter of risks linked to the journey itself while we are on the road, but also of problems linked to the vehicle itself.

Before departure

A must is to have your car checked before departure. Only in this way can you be sure to drive a reliable vehicle.
For those who opted instead for do-it-yourself: do not forget to check the condition of the tires, the oil level and the brake status.

Insurance

The insurance is a particular that sometimes can not be taken into consideration as it does not involve a malfunction of the vehicle, but it is still a very important detail. So check that your insurance is still valid, otherwise you will have to renew the warranty with the same company or a new one.

More guarantees

Your insurance offers various guarantees but are they not enough for you? In fact, more security is never bad.
You can therefore opt for extra guarantees.

Who to choose?
A suggestion: RPM Garantie proposes various services and forms of conventional guarantee on both new and used cars.

Another interesting detail: RPM also deals with the management of the legal guarantee of conformity.

The legal guarantee of conformity is provided by the Consumer Code (articles 128 et seq.) And protects the consumer in case of purchase of defective products, which work poorly or do not respond to the use declared by the seller or to which the goods are generally intended.

While you are traveling

During the journey pay attention to your itinerary and driving. Remember not to distract yourself with your mobile phone: the highway code is clear

It is forbidden for the driver to make use of radiotelephones or to use sound-absorbing headphones while driving, with the exception of drivers of vehicles of the Armed Forces and of the Corps referred to in Article 138, paragraph 11, and of police. The use of hands-free or headset-enabled devices is permitted provided that the driver has adequate hearing abilities at both ears which do not require the use of hands for their operation.

And if you still had doubts about it: the fine can reach € 647.

Another risk that can put your life at risk are the blows of sleep: if you are sleepy, stop in a designated area and resume the journey only when your physical condition will allow it.
